Given the reliability of the Creation/Last Modification date and time of both InforLN and Xero, Stellarise Connector is periodically triggered to retrieve all of the entities created/amended between:

  • the last time the Connector has run and
  • the very moment it is running.

In such a way, Stellarise Connector is able to synchronise the only actually changed information between two moments in time.

Possible caveats:

Date and time zone. All the date and times are expressed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which is the same time definition for the whole world.

The outcome does not depend on the frequency of runs. Every run considers the last time it has run and now. By default, when a new connection is created, the last run time is set to now.

Type of data

Stellarise Connector needs to synchronise data between InforLN and Xero. In particular:

  • Business Partners - aka Clients and Suppliers
  • Sales Invoices (and Credit Notes)
  • Goods Purchase Invoices (and Credit Notes)
  • Service Purchase Invoices (and Credit Notes)
  • Other Purchase Invoices (and Credit Notes)
  • Payment records

While Xero is only targeted on Linea Light UK, InforLN holds the data of all the Linea Light branches in the world.

The InforLN SOAP API endpoint allows to retrieve and push all the data related to a specific Linea Light branch, just using a special identifier that uniquely identifies it.

Source of Truth
The Master data definition of the different entities is the assumption that has been agreed. In particular:

InforLN is considered the data source (source of truth) for

  • Business Partners
  • Sales Invoices
  • Goods Purchase Invoices: Linea Light Italy is the supplier of about 95% of the business, the remaining is coming from other suppliers.

Xero, instead, has been identified as the data source for:

  • Invoice/CN Payments: both sales and purchases
  • Service Purchase Invoices/CN: utility bills, internet and phone, rent, electricity, gas etc.
  • Other Purchase Invoices/CN: restaurant receipts, business travels, employees’ expenses reports and so on.
  • No labels
